Case Summary:
Our client from China is one of the few leading material technologies for energy and medical applications experts in data analysis. Working in the field for several years, he has achieved a consistent and notable record of success and influence in these areas of study. He is especially well-known for his research on the synthesis and utilization of copolymers to improve the performance of solar cells. It was evident that his work was valuable for the national and international community. So, when he approached us to file his NIW (National Interest Waiver) and later his EB1-A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petitions, we made sure to showcase his talents to the best effect.
The I-140 NIW is for those foreign nationals who can prove their worth to the United States via academic and professional achievements. An NIW approval enables the applicant to work in the United States without a labor certification or permanent job offer. On the other hand, the EB1-A petitioners have to prove their extraordinary ability in any chosen area of endeavor and should continue to work in their chosen area of endeavor in the future.
So, while preparing the case of our Chinese client, we made sure to include the following data collected from his academic and professional documents:
- Detailed descriptions of his proposed endeavor and illustrations of his past work in the field.
We showed that he is considered a reliable member of the scientific community by showcasing his work as a peer reviewer for magazines. - We found that he had been invited to review and evaluate the work of his peers no fewer than 50 times.
- In addition to directly advancing materials technologies knowledge through his original research and peer review service, he was also actively engaging his peers in the field of data analysis by authoring and co-authoring 10 peer-reviewed articles that have been published in international journals.
- This was more evident because his publications have been cited 260 times by researchers in at least 29 countries around the world according to Google Scholar. Our team also attached maps to chart the areas where his work had been cited.
- We also added detailed descriptions of 4 of his key projects as evidence of his contributions to and expertise in the field of data analysis.
- Finally, we showed that his work has been recognized by other experts in the field and these experts have in turn furnished him with 4 letters of recommendation.
The petition letters were packed with information in such a way that throughout the adjudication of both of his cases we did not receive a Request for Evidence. We are proud to have helped him get both NIW and EB1-A approvals and our team wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
