November Visa Bulletin – ROW Is Current Again!
The Department of State has just released the November Visa Bulletin, and as we at Chen Immigration Law projected, second-preference employment-based (EB-2) visas have returned to ‘Current’ status for foreign nationals from ROW (Rest of World – all countries other than India and China). This is great news for our clients who have recently received their NIW (National Interest Waiver) approvals in addition to our other ROW cases that are pending. Now that EB-2 ROW visas are current again, starting from Nov. 1st, 2012, foreign nationals from ROW are now able to file for I-485 (“Change of Status”) to receive their Green Card either concurrently with their I-140 petition or immediately following the receipt of their I-140 approval.
We at Chen Immigration Law Associates are always proud of our high approval rate. This year, so far, we have not received a single NIW denial during this time period despite the inherent pressure placed on the USCIS. This is because we pay close attention to each case taken and always put immense efforts on preparing for clients’ cases. For our recent approval notices please refer to :

That being said, now is the time for those from ROW to file under the EB-2 category, and for those who are interested in expediting their cases, we also offer an EB-2 + EB-1 packaged petition service, where you may file your EB-1 petition using the Premium Processing Service (Guarantee decision within 15 days of filing); in this case, the EB-2 petition serves as a secondary option or ‘back-up plan.’
