Case Summary:
We prepared an I-140 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition that reflects the high regard held for a civil engineering expert specializing in water resources. Our team, drawing on extensive experience and a record of success, carefully assembled a petition that underscored the importance and influence of the client’s work.
Holding a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a minor in Statistics, the client’s proposed endeavor focuses on advancing hydrological models to provide more accurate and timely forecasts of extreme events. By strengthening predictive accuracy, this research directly contributes to saving lives, protecting infrastructure, and minimizing the economic and social consequences of natural disasters.
We highlighted that the client’s work addresses a matter of clear national importance, given the increasing frequency and severity of extreme weather events. Accurate forecasting and improved water resource management are essential to disaster mitigation and climate resilience in the United States.
To demonstrate scholarly excellence, we documented a strong record of academic achievement: 5 peer-reviewed journal articles (including 2 first-authored and 2 co-first-authored) and 7 abstracts (3 first-authored). This body of work has already accumulated 30 citations, showing its adoption and influence among peers. In addition, the client has completed at least 17 peer reviews for respected journals in the field, confirming recognized standing as a trusted expert.
Despite receiving a Request for Evidence (RFE), the petition was ultimately approved under Premium Processing, validating the strength of the client’s record and the national significance of the proposed endeavor. We are proud to have supported this case and wish the client continued success in advancing research that strengthens disaster preparedness and resilience.
